Leader Meeting Minutes from September


Troops in attendance: 222, 2450, 2805, 2245, 2676, 2597, 1035.

We have an urgent need for new leaders. We still need a Daisy leader and a Brownie leader!

Brownie Troop Info: At this leader meeting we had 3 brownie troops represented, 2540, 222 and 2805, troop 2546 is already full. These 3 troops absorbed the remaining members of 696 and 2804 that no longer have a leader. Also, the 13 Daisy girls who flew up to Brownies this year were all separated between the 4 current Brownie troops. It was decided that at our 2 registration events, no dues money will be collected until we find a new Brownie and Daisy leader.

If a new Brownie leader is found, we may be able to reassign some of the extra girls taken by troops 2540 and 2805 to the new troop to keep their numbers more reasonable. All the current Brownie troops are at capacity.

Junior Troop Info: At this leader meeting we had 3 Junior troops represented, 2245, 2676 and 2597. Deb B. announced that she and Jean P. will take over the leadership of 2245. 2245 had a current membership of 6 girls. They will be taking on all the bridging girls from 696 as well as some from 2804. Troop 2676 took the bridging girls from 222 as well as 1 from 2804. Troop 2597 took all the remaining registration forms from troop 2804's bridging girls. The parents of all the new Juniors will be contacted to make sure they can attend the meeting schedule of the troops to which they have been assigned. Troop 2676 and 2597 still have very limited openings remaining. Troop 2245 is full.

Cadette and Senior Info: The cadette troop is very full with 23 members for this year. They took all the bridging girls from 2552 and 779. We will most likely not have a Senior troop this year.

Our registration events are scheduled to be held at the Chester Fair (Nancy P is doing this one) and at Chester Academy on Friday, Sept. 16th from 6 to 8 pm.

Investiture will be held on Thursday, November 10th at 7:00. This is the night before Veteran's Day and is an early release day.

Veteran's Day parade - Parade starts at 11:00, please be there by 10:30 to line up. Brownie and Daisy families supply baked goods for the gathering after the parade. Drop them off at the Fire Station before going to the parade.

Council Store is reopening on Friday's and Saturday's starting on Friday, September 16th.

Cindy announced that Nancy P. will be assisting her in her SUM duties this year in preparation to take over as SUM next year.
