We had decided on a date of May 4th (Friday night) Gym Ken does not do sleep overs on Friday nights. SEE Science Center has the date open, however they charge for Adults and Children (same price).  Please send me your feedback on this.  Do we want to try for May 5th at Gym-Ken or go forward with the SEE Science Center?

Cost:  Gym-Ken:  $20 per girl - no food, $25 per girl - with food.  Time 7:00PM – 8:00 am

SEE Science Center:  $20 per person no food, $28 per person with food.  Time 5:30 – 11:00am.

Camporee

We passed out the camporee packet.  This includes a map, proposed schedule and site selection form.  If your troop has 12 or less members, you will need to share a site with another troop.  Please list your top 3 site choices, total anticipated girls and adults who will be attending and return this from to the April leader meeting.

Court of Awards

We chose Tuesday, June 12th for the Court of Awards and Bridging Ceremony.  This date has been approved by the Rec. Department.

Outstanding Leader Award

The Outstanding Leader award is given to a Leader whose performance in working with girls is beyond expectations for their position.  It is approved by the Service Unit Team.  I am asking for secret ballots for nominations. (email is fine)  Anyone receiving 3 or more nominations will receive this award.  If the person you nominate receives enough votes, you will be asked to complete a Letter of Endorsement that will be attached to the Award Packet that gets sent to council.  The award will be presented at the Court of Awards Ceremony.

Next Year

I’m looking for information on what leaders are not returning next year, leaders who are moving up a level and may have girls left in their troop who need placement and girls who are bridging and will need placement in new troops in the fall.  Please email me with details.

We are in need of a Daisy Leadership Team, a Brownie Leadership Team and a Senior Leadership Team for 07-08.  If you know of anyone who is interested, please let me know and we’ll get them started.

Early Re-registration

If you plan to return next year and know at least 5 members of your troop will also return next year, get a jump on the registration process by participating in the “Dance into 2008 Early Re-Registration Event”.  Your registration packets will be available from me starting on April 15th.  I will bring them to the May leader meeting, but if you’d like them early, let me know and we’ll make special arrangements.  Completed forms and payment are due to Corinna by May 25th

All troops who participate in Early Re-Registration will receive a free patch and be invited to a free event in the fall.
