Leader Meeting Minutes from March 10, 2005




Thanks to all who participated in the Home Show. Remember to get the Thank You cards to me even if you didn't participate. I only have one troop's card. This is for the camporee and you all benefit.

And on that note, because of the weather, we have about 45 cases of cookies left. We are planning another booth sale. We will be selling them at the Movie Scene in Derry. We need a few troops to take a time. Jodie's brownies will be there from 9:00-12:00. I think that we should be there till 4:00 or 5:00. Please email me if you can take a slot. This is for the camporee, so if some of you Junior troops or the Cadette troop wants to help that would be great. If we need to, we may have to do another sale else where. We need to at least make our deposit. Be prepared to help out. If any one needs cookies, any ideas, or willing to help call Sandy or myself.



The next leader meeting is April 14 at 7:00.

ATTENTION ALL JUNIOR & CADETTE TROOPS

Hi there!
My name is Shirley Monohon and I am an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. I am also a mother of two girls (17 & 14) who have had many years of fun with the Auburn Girl Scouts of which I was a leader from 1993-1999 for my older daughters’ troop. I am writing in hopes that you can forward this message to all of your Junior and Cadette leaders who are interested in working on the "Looking your Best" or "Becoming a Teen" junior badges or showing Cadette’s some skin care tips as well as the "less is better" method of applying make-up.

I want to offer my services to Mother/Daughter groups of any number from, say, 4th grade-8th grade to do a skin care class/display and a make-up class/display using my daughter’s as models or any volunteers from the audience (the girls might get a kick out of their leaders being on display!??). My daughters are both members of the National Honor Society and are needing community service hours and would love to help younger girls in our community to feel better about themselves! We will have samples and door prizes as well! Please send my information of to whomever you think will benefit from this service. I am very excited about this and feel that we can do some good here!

CPR Challenge
Londonderry, Thursday, March 31st

This is a challenge test only and involves taking the written CPR infant/child/adult exams and then demonstrating your CPR skills on the mannequins. You should study before attending as there will be no review. If you fail either written exam or demonstration you will have to repeat the entire CPR course.
