On Saturday, October 23rd at 7pm, Chester Girl Scouts will hold our annual Investiture Ceremony.  All scouts need to be at the Multi-Purpose room in uniform by 6:30pm.  All new Girl Scouts will receive their official membership pin and tabs at this ceremony.  Brownies will be on stage doing the "Twist Me-Turn Me" to the Brownie Story and the Juniors will be doing a flower ceremony.  Juniors especially need to be on time because their parts have not yet been assigned and we'll need a few minutes to go over what they will be doing before the ceremony starts.  If you have not yet purchased your Brownie or Junior Vest, please do so before this ceremony.   If you have questions on insignia placement, let us know.  This is an important night in the Girl Scout year.  Please try to attend.  Last year's ceremony was over in less than an hour.

Both Troops will be marching in the Veteran's Day Parade on Thursday, November 11th.  It's a short parade that starts at the Town Office Complex and goes to the Post Office.  Following the speech given in front of the Post Office, there is a gathering at the Fire House for all participants.  Daisys and Brownies supply the snacks for this gathering.  I'll have more details in the next few weeks. 

We're still waiting for many of you to send in a note letting us know you've made baked apples as part of our badge work for both troops.  If you need another copy of the recipe, please let us know.
