Please meet at the Children's Exploratorium on Friday May 30 between 4:00 and 4:30 pm.  We need to leave Chester by 5:00 pm in order to get to Camp Farnsworth and set up before dark.  We have NO electricity on our camp site.  Make sure your daughter has a bag dinner (with drink) she can easily eat in transit to camp.  It will be a long ride and the girls will get hungry.  We will not be able to leave vehicles at the Exploratorium because this is Kindergarten graduation weekend.  Parents, please make arrangements or plan on taking your own vehicle if you're attending the trip.   If anyone who is attending would like to volunteer to help with the food shopping, please give me a call.  The troop will be paying for the food from our cookie money.  We will be back around 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 1.

We will be having a year-end Party at Nancy's house on Saturday, June 28th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  I'll be sending home permission slips and sign-up sheets next week.  I'll need as accurate a count as possible to know how much food to buy.  Parents are welcome too!  The girls will be getting a fun-patch for attending.  Hope to see everyone there!

Next week the girls will be selecting the field trips they would like to do during the summer.  They will be choosing one for July and one for August.  I'll have the permission slips for these activities to you by the last meeting of the school year on June 10th.  I'll also be in touch via email as the events get closer.  Everyone is welcome, even the 3rd graders who won't be with us next year.   It will be fun to keep in touch with everyone during the summer!

The Chester Girl Scout Court of Award Ceremony is Friday, June 6th at the Multi-purpose room at 6:30 pm.  Please have your Brownies there and in uniform by 6:15.  If your daughter is part of the 2nd grade "Mangia Mangia", please be sure to select the early seating time.  The 2nd grade Team is aware of the Girl Scout ceremony.   The girls will get their membership star for completing a year as a Brownie, the last Try-it of the year, as well as fun patches for events they have participated in since March.  The girls will also be performing at the ceremony. 

Our meetings next school year will be held on Monday's from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. The Chester Selectman's Office has granted us permission to meet at Steven's Memorial Hall.  We will begin the first Monday after Labor Day (September 8th).  We are hoping that most of our 1st and 2nd graders will return next year!  We are already working on planning our first field trips!
