GYM-KEN LOCK-IN

New Child Automobile Passenger Restraint Laws

The Gym-Ken Lock-in is this Saturday night, January 17th.  Please drop off your daughter at Gym-Ken at 7:00 pm.  For more info, visit the Gym-Ken web site at http://www.gymkengymnastics.com/. Troop #2546 is having their girls dropped off in their PJ's instead of having them change after playing.  You are welcome to do this if you'd like.  Please send them with "sweat-suit" type PJ's for both warmth and the ability to jump around on the trampolines in their PJ's.  I don't recommend any nightgowns for this sleepover.   Make sure any clothes they'll be playing in are comfortable for gymnastic activities.  We will be having a Pizza Party around 8:00 or 8:30 pm Saturday night.  Please feed your daughter something to hold her over before dropping her off.  We'll also be having a light breakfast on Sunday morning before pick-up.  Please be at Gym-Ken by 8:30 am on Sunday.   Don't forget their sleeping bag and pillow They can also bring one favorite doll or stuffed animal (nothing too large).  Call if you have any questions.

Effective Jan. 1, 2004, NH's law for automobile passenger restraints changed.  Children up to 6 years of age or less than 55 inches in height will be required to ride in an approved child seat (infant/toddler or booster).  Because of this change, any child who is less than 55" tall will need to supply a booster seat when traveling with a chaperone on one of our field trips.  Click HERE to visit the NH State Website to view the revised NH RSA. More info can also be found at Saferoads.org.
The child automobile passenger restraint law also changed in Vermont requiring the use of an approved safety seat for all children up to age 8.  If we travel to Swift Water Camp Farnsworth in Vermont, this law will have to be followed.   Thanks!

THERE WILL BE NO MEETING ON JANUARY 19TH DUE TO MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY.
